Oregon Battle of the Books
Lincoln Elementary is proud to be a part of the statewide reading program called Oregon Battle of the Books. This is a volunteer program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Librarians. Students who love to read are encouraged and recognized in a new and exciting way. Any student in 3rd - 5th grade can join a team, read from a list of quality literature with a variety of styles and viewpoints, and compete with other Lincoln Elementary teams. This format promotes teamwork and cooperative learning. The winning team from Lincoln Elementary represents our school at a regional competition, perhaps even go on to the state level!
