Assistant Principal

Peter McDougal is Lincoln's Assistant Principal. Previously, he has led schools at the K-5 and secondary levels, and he started his career teaching language arts, social studies, and Spanish. As an educational leader, Dr. McDougal values strong partnerships with families, opening up opportunities for every student, and fostering a positive school culture. He believes that language and cultural background are key assets, and he appreciates supporting teachers and staff so they reach their full potential. He knows that each and every student can make strong growth and achieve at high levels. 

Peter and his wife have three children and they’ve lived in Oregon for most of their lives. He enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He holds two degrees from Pacific Lutheran University and has a doctorate from the University of Oregon.
