Principal
Teresa Alfaro
Dear Lincoln Elementary Families and Community,
It is my sincere pleasure and honor to write this letter of introduction to you as the new principal of Lincoln Elementary. I am looking forward to serving this wonderful school and continuing to provide support to help all students be successful.
Lincoln Elementary opened around 1952 with the strong vision of supporting students and families. We continue this vision with the goal of providing the right instruction for every student and building inclusive environments to empower all students. I look forward to learning more about you and your child or children as we work together to continue providing a positive, respectful, engaging, and safe environment for all students.
I have been in education for over 28 years. I began my educational career in Salem-Keizer as an instructional assistant at Weddle Elementary. Furthermore, I obtained a Master of Arts in teaching in 2008 and taught at Eyre Elementary as a second-grade bilingual teacher. After working as a teacher, I served as part of the bilingual education team as an English language acquisition specialist and bilingual program assistant. I had my first assignment as an assistant principal at Heritage Elementary, worked as an assistant principal and principal at Salem-Keizer, and now I am returning to Woodburn to be the principal at Lincoln Elementary.
I believe that all students can learn and that all students have strengths. I know that families, staff, the community, and administrators all have important roles to play in supporting students’ success. It is my desire to provide opportunities to collaborate to support students academically, socially, and emotionally. Please feel free to contact me, as my door will always be open. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
Go Dolphins!!
Sincerely,
Teresa Alfaro
